Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the revenue cycle process, ensuring accurate eligibility, billing and reimbursement to optimize revenue and maintain compliance.
This role requires a strong understanding of eligibility, medical billing procedures and contractual reimbursement.
The Revenue Cycle Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the financial health of our organization by accurately processing claims and resolving billing issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include Insurance follow-up, Claims resolution/billing, Appeals.
- Checking Online Eligibility/Claim Status
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collections processes
- Monitor claim status and expedite resolution of rejected or denied claims to maximize reimbursement
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management within a healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of DRG, CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards
- Familiarity with EPIC Patient Accounting Software a plus
- Experience with medical collections processes and insurance claim submissions
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate billing and coding processes
- Knowledge of industry regulations related to healthcare billing and compliance standards
